Fashion Designer | Creative Consultant | Project Lead

Design and develop diverse apparel collections for both startup and established brands. Coordinate product development to deliver final products to clients with precision and on schedule. Translate creative concepts into detailed CADs and tech packs, manage development calendars, and collaborate with overseas factories to ensure timely production and delivery.

  • Sam Edelman: Developed a denim capsule for the juniors market, featuring a range of fits and washes; managed the process from concept through production.

French Connection/ IML Designs, New York, NY 2022 – 2023

Design Director

Led a team of designers and artists to produce seasonal collections for private label and character licensing merchandise. Oversaw trend research, creative direction, and presentations. Directed improvements to the sketched bodies library, textures, and brushes for optimal CAD presentations. Assisted team members with tech-pack and line-sheet corrections, and managed the “RACI” calendar to track deadlines and ensure timely deliverables.

  • Design collection for French Connection Boys for off-price accounts.

  • Oversaw end-to-end creative process, ensuring aesthetic alignment and sales performance across multiple accounts.

  • Approve graphic direction before final presentation for the season, including hand offs and edits.

  • Collaborate with sales department in order to have LY sales download, full line plan expectations and monthly product performance reviews to achieve merchandise that works for accounts and keeping true to brand aesthetic.

True Religion, New York, NY 2014 – 2021

Design Director

Oversaw the design team for True Religion’s kids’ line, a culturally influential urban fashion brand that has re-emerged as a classic. Led seasonal design direction to ensure collections reflected the brand’s heritage while staying aligned with market trends. Highly knowledgeable in denim, I collaborated closely with wash houses to develop innovative techniques and achieve signature washes and finishes. Managed the print process from concept to execution, creating CADs, coordinating strike-offs, and ensuring quality across all product categories. Presented seasonal product reviews to senior management, sales, and merchandising teams. Led daily and weekly meetings to foster collaboration, reviewed and approved graphics, corrected tech packs, and mentored the design team to maintain brand consistency and creative excellence.

  • Improved turnaround time on products and sample submissions by taking over overseas travel and liaising directly with vendors to resolve production issues.

  • Created collections for age ranges of infants to young adults, encompassing but not limited to capsules of denim, active, and outerwear.

  • Designed collections that sold to both mainline retailers including Nordstrom, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue as well as outlet lines such as Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, and others.

Senior Designer

Managed the full design process from concept to final styling, conducting market research to identify trends, fabrics, and techniques. Ensured products aligned with business strategies and trend forecasts. Collaborated on seasonal themes and trend boards, refined line edits, and generated new concepts. Nike 6.0 & Levi’s Boys | Carters & Panyc , New York, NY 2008 – 2012

Assistant | Associate | Senior Designer

Started as an Assistant Designer and was promoted to Senior Designer. Assisted in the design development for two boys’ clothing lines, ranging from toddler to young adult. During this time, I was introduced to denim under the Levi’s brand, where I became highly knowledgeable in denim development, fabric construction, and wash terminology used by global wash houses. Researched market trends, sourced materials, and presented findings to leadership. Communicated with factories to meet delivery deadlines, produced sales boards, and generated detailed tech packs in Filemaker. Fitted pre-production samples, provided feedback to factories, and managed all submits, strike-offs, and lab dips. Assisted models during fittings and fashion shows to ensure garments met quality and design standards.

  • Created a successful children’s fashion line alongside the corporate and senior designer for Nike after receiving promotion from an assistant design position with Levi’s.

  • Exceeded expectations by launching the first season of Nike 6.0 Spring 2010 ahead of schedule, allowing product to reach stores smoothly and quickly.

  • Led focus groups for children to determine the market and interest.

  • Developed catalogs for the season’s line and inspiration decks for the sales department.
